summer fun

The first weeks of summer have been amazing.  We love slow mornings that involve playing outside and multiple cups of coffee.  Berkley is such a homebody and loves the slower summer routine.  He is much more agreeable when there is less stimulus and change.  He is a sensitive boy - and has deep feelings about most things - knee scrapes, smells, rearranging furniture, his clothes, and mostly his environment.  He has great intensity to his emotions, which is wonderful and sometimes difficult, but mostly wonderful.  Nan, in contrast, is a laid back lady.  And also known as 'one shoe Nan.'  She prefers one shoe (on her right foot) as opposed to two shoes or no shoes.  She is a trip.  Her words and her ability to better express herself changes daily.  She is my love bug and makes our days better and happier.  I love being home with them for hours on end and without purpose.  Berkley was so bored today and I found him rooting in the recycling and making a guitar out of an orange juice bottle and twine.

Have I mentioned yet that summer is the best?
